THE AVERAGE SALARY OF 21 UNIVERSITY DEGREES, ONE YEAR AFTER GRADUATING

Earning big bucks in the future isn't all university is about, but being aware of the salary prospects of different degrees is definitely something students should consider before they graduate.

A new study from UK Onward looks at the total number of undergraduates who enrolled on 21 different courses in 2016/2017, before working out the medium graduate earnings one year after graduation.

And in data you might not find surprising, Creative Arts and Design degrees, English Studies, History and Philosophy and Psychology are among the lowest earners after they've left university, while Economics, Engineering and Medicine and Dentistry are amongst the highest.

Beyond a year after graduating, different degrees have varied salary progression - medics earn £42,800 on average three years after graduation, where as a nurse's salary goes up to £27,200 on average.
